Cosmobeauté Malaysia and beautyexpo will expand into East Malaysia with the launch of the Cosmobeauté Malaysia Borneo Festival 2026 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) from May 25 to 26.

Officiating the first term of the 17th State Legislative Assembly on Thursday, Governor Tun Musa Aman announced that the adoption of AI will streamline data management, accelerate decision-making, and reduce the public sector's reliance on resource-intensive manual processes.

This transition will be supported by new AI usage guidelines, the establishment of Mini AI Centres, and a specialized cybersecurity program to protect the state’s digital assets.

To ensure the workforce is prepared for this shift, the State Government is prioritizing human capital development through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and high-speed internet expansion.

Tun Musa emphasized that curricula will be redesigned to be industry-driven, focusing on bridging skills gaps and increasing employability for locals.

By combining advanced digital infrastructure with a highly skilled workforce, Sabah aims to foster a more innovative and responsive administrative ecosystem that can better identify and meet the needs of its citizens.
