KOTA KINABALU: Usno President Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia has formally resigned as Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) deputy chairman and all related government positions.
In a
Facebook post by Warta Usno on Wednesday, it was mentioned that the resignation was conveyed during a meeting with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, who is also GRS Chairman, on Tuesday.
The decision was subsequently unanimously endorsed on Wednesday, during the Usno Supreme Council (meeting to leave the GRS coalition.
The party cited a lack of alignment in governance and policy, particularly following the 17th Sabah Election, as among the initial reasons for its decision.
Usno also stated it would remain as a political party grounded in the struggle of Sabah’s indigenous communities.
It said it would stay committed to its role in the system of checks and balances.

The party also expressed appreciation to the GRS Chairman and its component partners for their past cooperation and pledged to continue championing the aspirations of marginalised communities.
