Orange cat blamed as Thai train delay sparks debate
The frenzied cat.
BANGKOK: A bizarre claim that a “frenzied” orange cat caused a seven-hour train delay in Thailand has gone viral, sparking confusion and debate over what really happened.

According to Thailand media outlet, the incident involved Rapid Train No. 169 travelling from Bangkok to Yala, which arrived about 430 minutes behind schedule.

Initial social media posts alleged the cat bit its owner and scratched several passengers, forcing staff to stop the train and restrain the animal before continuing the journey.

However, several passengers disputed the claim, saying the delay was instead caused by mechanical issues, including multiple engine failures during the trip.
