Kota Kinabalu: Marmaz Sipitang Oil and Gas Sdn Bhd (MSOG) has signed five memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with CIDB Technologies to train and upskill Sabahan workers for the oil and gas (O&G) industry amid a shortage of skilled local talent.

The collaboration aims to address the lack of specialised workers, while creating pathways for Sabah youths to secure higher-paying jobs and reduce reliance on foreign labour.

Marmaz Group Holding CEO Datuk Seri Marajoh Unding said many locals remain unaware of opportunities in the sector despite strong demand and growth prospects in the state.

“We want Sabah youths to seize these opportunities and build their careers here,” he said, adding that the initiative supports government efforts to expand local employment.
