Kota Kinabalu: Cooperation between the Sabah State Government and the Federal Government continues to be strengthened to ensure more inclusive, sustainable development that directly benefits the wellbeing of the people.
Deputy Chief Minister and State Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said close ties between both governments are key to ensuring Sabah’s development agenda is implemented comprehensively, systematically and effectively for the benefit of the people statewide.
He said the implementation of the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), including Sabah’s 40 per cent revenue entitlement, remains a priority, with both sides agreeing that efforts should be accelerated to realise the state’s rights.
Masidi said this after receiving a courtesy call from Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs) Datuk Mustapha Sakmud and his delegation at his office.
He also stressed the need for continuous coordination between Federal and State agencies to ensure decisions are effectively implemented at the grassroots level.
