Sabah Speaker and Chinese Consul General forge stronger ties
KOTA KINABALU: Sabah State Legislative Assembly Speaker Datuk Seri Panglima Kadzim M Yahya on Wednesday received a warm courtesy call from China’s Consul General in Kota Kinabalu, His Excellency Dr. Zhu Xinglong.

Kadzim expressed appreciation for the visit and reaffirmed Sabah’s commitment to strengthening friendship and cooperation with China amid evolving global dynamics.

The two leaders held a productive dialogue on legislative systems, exchanging insights into their respective frameworks while highlighting a shared dedication to effective governance and socio-economic development.

Dr. Zhu noted rising interest from Chinese investors in Sabah, particularly in infrastructure, agriculture, and tourism, praising the state’s strategic location and improving investment environment.
