KUDAT: A local man in his 30s was detained after authorities discovered 400 litres of diesel stored without permission at a premises along Jalan Airport Kudat on Tuesday.

 

KPDN Kudat enforcement chief Nazatul Shima Karim said the 31-year-old, believed to be the store owner, was arrested during a raid under Ops Tiris 4.0.

 

She said the diesel was found stored in two drums for personal use without valid authorisation.

 

The case is being investigated under Regulation 3(1) of the Control of Supplies Regulations 1974 for dealing with controlled goods without a licence.

 

Nazatul said enforcement will be intensified in high-risk areas, including Kudat, Kota Marudu, Pitas and Pulau Banggi.
