TONGOD: A 42-year-old man could face life imprisonment and caning after being caught with 32.35 grams of methamphetamine during a crime prevention patrol in Kampung Simpang Entilibon on Monday.

Beluran District Police Chief, Supt. Hasan Majid, said the suspect tested positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine.

"He is being investigated under Sections 39A(2) and 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and has been taken to Beluran police headquarters for further investigation and remand procedures," he said.

Hasan emphasized ongoing police efforts to combat drug crimes in the district and urged the public to report information to 089-511222.
