Kota Kinabalu: A total of 56 members, comprising 49 students and seven teachers from SM All Saints, were honoured with the Sabah Education Excellence Award (Anugerah Kecemerlangan Pendidikan Sabah – AKSA) by the Sabah State Government in recognition of their outstanding achievements at the international level.
The award presentation ceremony was held at Dewan Rafflesia, Politeknik Kota Kinabalu, and was officiated by the Sabah Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Noor.

The recognition was given to the STEM Warriors team following their success at the World Young Scientist Invention and Innovation (WYSII) competition, organised by the Malaysia Youth Scientist Organisation (MYSO) in collaboration with Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand, held from January 29 to February 2.
A total of 49 students, representing 14 teams, won 13 gold medals, with three teams receiving Special Gold Awards, bringing pride to the state and the nation on the international stage.
In addition, seven teachers from the school participated in INTERACT Bangkok (International Conference on Teaching, Research, Administration, Leadership & Creative Transformation), where all participants were awarded gold medals, with three receiving Special Awards.
The teachers who supervised the teams were Anizan bin Ambo, Adrian Bakil Nio, Disimon Edmund Gansoi, Ivy Jocelyn Joenes, Marcus Khoo Hiok Tian, Rishnahayu Nur Kinas, and Siti Azizah binti Md Yussof.

Among them, Marcus Khoo Hiok Tian and Rishnahayu Nur Kinas received the STEM Excellence Special Award, while Siti Azizah binti Md Yussof received the Educational Transformation Special Award.
Under the award scheme, each team received RM8,000, while each teacher received RM4,000 in recognition of their achievements.
The school principal, Dr Mary Gambidau, said the recognition from the state government would further motivate both teachers and students to continue excelling, particularly in STEM education and academic achievement.
She also expressed appreciation to the Sabah State Government, noting that it was the first time the SM All Saints community had received such recognition.
