Kota Kinabalu Saga squad hardly break a sweat in friendly
Head coach Matasan Ahmad gives some pointers to the players after the match.
Kota Kinabalu: Kota Kinabalu Saga (Sabah Games) football team thrashed Bravo FC 7-1 in a friendly football match held at the Prison field in Kepayan recently.

Six goals were scored in the first half before Bravo pulled one back in the second half but Kota Kinabalu were able to reclaim their six-goal lead with a late goal.

Coach Roslan Wasli said the match was held to work on the players ‘combination and their understanding in preparation for Saga scheduled to be held in Kota Kinabalu on December 16-22.

“It was a very positive outing. The players will continue to train and more friendly matches are planned for them,” he said.

Meanwhile, team manager, Lokman Sunggim hopes the players will maintain the momentum and keep improving. He is confident the team will take advantage of the home support to do well in the competition and deliver a medal.

Meanwhile, the football events in Saga are divided into two groups. Kota Kinabalu are drawn in Group A with Tuaran, Telupid and Penampang while in Group B are Tawau, Kota Belud, Tenom and Membakut.
