PENAMPANG: A Penampang-based NGO appealed to Chief Minister Datuk Hajiji Mohd Noor to scrap a proposed work contained in the draft Penampang Development Plan involving a stretch known as Jalan Pogun in Kg Dabak, here.

Ikatan Komuniti Penampang believes it would cause damage to the surrounding ecosystem besides uprooting families as homes would have to be demolished.

Deputy Chairman of Ikatan Penampang, Alphonsus Sundangit contends the State Government should not rely on a plan many believe was drafted in the mid 80s when large parts of Kg Dabak, including Jalan Pogun, were originally padi fields.
