The award, organised by Global School Leaders, recognises school principals worldwide whose leadership and innovative practices have created meaningful change in their schools and communities.
Budhi was one of four global winners selected for 2025, alongside principals from Argentina, Kenya and Indonesia. He secured the Popular Choice distinction through public support.
The Principals Speak Award evaluates principals based on their leadership projects and the impact of their work on school improvement and community engagement.
Winners are selected from entries submitted by school leaders around the world.
According to the organisers, the award serves as a platform for school leaders to share their experiences in strengthening education systems across different countries.
Budhi’s consecutive wins represent a notable achievement for SK Likas and the State’s education system, showing that Sabah-based school leadership can compete at international level.
The recognition is expected to encourage other educators in Sabah to pursue innovative approaches and share effective practices in their schools.
Global School Leaders, which organises the annual award, expressed appreciation to all participating principals who submitted their leadership stories and projects for consideration.
