Young achiever shines at SJK(C) Pai Wen
Excellent students of SJK© Pai Wen, Ranau, and their teachers during the programme held here recently.
RANAU: Vanellope Kong Xin Yee was selected as the recipient of the SJK© Pai Wen, Ranau 2025 Student Excellence Award at the school’s 2025 Outstanding Awards Ceremony held here recently.

She achieved outstanding results after winning the Platinum Award (Nimbus Catch), Gold Award (Nimbus Catch), and Most Outstanding Team award at the Borneo International Innovation Creativity 2025 competition at the national level.

Vanellope also won the Gold Award (Nimbus Catch) in the World Sustainable Development Goal Challenge 2025, as well as an Honorable Mention in the Kangaroo Maths Competition 2025 (Benjamin Category) and the 2025 “Magic Eye” China International Children’s Comic Contest, both at the national level.

In addition, she achieved Mission 2 in the Score A Student Olympiad 2025, which was also held at the national level.

At the state level, Vanellope won the Gold Award in STEM Explorers (Primary Level) at STEMQUEST Ignite Zone 5: Tuaran, Sabah, besides achieving commendable results in several other competitions.

Meanwhile, among the other awards presented at the ceremony were the Year 6 Graduate Award and the Co-Curricular Figure Award, which went to Crystal Rose, as well as the Pre-school Graduate Award and the 15th Co-Curricular Figure Award, presented to Yunus Tong.

The Noble Morality Award (Academic Progress) was awarded to Seanna Alexandre, while the Year 6 Graduate, School Supervisor Award (Academic Progress) went to Jayden Koh Jia Teng.

Also present and speaking at the ceremony were the Headmaster of SJK© Pai Wen, Ranau, Tsen Ting Feng; Chairman of the Board of Governors, Alldem Chia; and President of the Parent-Teacher Association, Roland Filex Goh, among others.
