Kota Kinabalu: Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) Chief Information Officer Dr Oswald Aisat Igau said Datuk Ronnie Loh’s exit from the party is for his own political survival.
He said the former KDM Vice President left because he wanted to keep his directorship in the Sipitang Oil and Gas Industrial Park Board.

“Ronnie’s allegation that KDM President Datuk Peter Anthony is inconsistent is completely absurd,” he said in a statement, Tuesday.
“Despite many obstacles from the opposition, Peter has been very consistent in steering Parti KDM since its inception last year.
“Peter and Datuk Wetrom Bahanda even overthrew the Parti Bersatu Sabah President (Datuk Dr Maximus Ongkili).
“He (Peter) not only fought hard to achieve PKDM’s triumph, but was willing to invest his own money in the party’s administration,” said Oswald.

Oswald said Ronnie was among those who jumped and caused the Warisan plus Government of Warisan, Upko, and Pakatan Harapan (PH) to lose in the last State Election.
“Ronnie is from Penang before getting a Sabah Permanent Resident status. He was appointed a Nominated Assemblyman by the (Warisan-Plus) government at the time.

“It’s not surprising that he backed Hajiji, including the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) Plan. We have nothing to be proud of in terms of SMJ accomplishments. It has failed the people of Sabah.
“We can see problems such as water, power supply, and many others worsening. The GRS Government administration and the SMJ Plan burden the people of Sabah,” he claimed.
