I RECENTLY observed the complex process of cutting down a mature tree by the DBKK maintenance staff, and it underscored the significant skill and effort needed to protect both workers and the public.
The experience revealed a broader challenge: such tasks often involve multiple entities like SESB and Telekom Sabah due to entangled cables.
Recently, SESB pruned only the branches touching their cables, leaving the tree’s aesthetics compromised.
When asked to do more, their contractor referred us to DBKK. While I understand the jurisdictional boundaries, this process seems to waste manpower.
I must commend DBKK for taking full responsibility and executing the task with professionalism.
The two-day operation was handled efficiently and safely. I would like to extend my appreciation to the Daily Express Hotline for their assistance and to DBKK for their responsive service.
My special thanks go to Bonnie and his team for their excellent work.
