Gagasan Rakyat to hold annual assembly November 9 - 10
Razali said the council had also requested divisions to intensify programmes to increase party members, including the women’s, youth, and young adult movements.
Kota Kinabalu: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) will have its annual general assembly on Nov 9 and 10.

Its Secretary-General Datuk Mohamed Razali Mohamed Razi said the branch meetings will be held from June 1 to July 30, while the division-level meetings would be from Aug 17 to Sept 30.

“Gagasan Rakyat currently has a total of 74 divisions throughout Sabah, including one division in the Federal Territory of Labuan, and all branches are required to hold meetings on the specified dates.

“This decision was made during a supreme council meeting of Gagasan Rakyat on March 17, 2024, chaired by the party President Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor,” he said in a statement.

Razali said the council had also requested divisions to intensify programmes to increase party members, including the women’s, youth, and young adult movements.

“Given the increasing support and response from the multi-ethnic populace of this state towards Gagasan Rakyat, divisions need to intensify programmes to recruit new members.”

He said the supreme council wanted all divisions to further strengthen the party machinery in preparation for the state election.

Although the tenure of the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS)-Pakatan Harapan (PH) Plus State Government will only end in September 2025, Mohamed said early preparations of the divisional election machinery need to be consistently strengthened.

He added that the leadership of the party at the divisional and grassroots levels should foster close understanding and relationships with the leaders and members of partner parties within the GRS-PH Plus component.

“Cooperation and unity among the leaders and members of Gagasan Rakyat with the component parties of GRS-PH Plus need to be strengthened and integrated for the benefit of the Government and the people.”
