Temporary site for Sandakan vendors

SANDAKAN: Small-time traders including fish and vegetable sellers at Karamunting Market will be relocated to a carpark area of Pasar Tanah Merah soon while waiting for a directive to be placed in a suitable site.
Karamunting Assemblyman Datuk George Hiew Vun Zin said the traders had requested to be moved out to pave way for upgrading works and repairs for serious damage to Karamunting Market.
He said the Sandakan Municipal Council (MPS) had previously arranged to move the affected traders to Bandar Ramai-Ramai Market, but they disagreed.
