Kota Kinabalu: Two men were charged separately in the Sessions Court, Monday, with assaulting others with weapons in Penampang.
Ambrose Jolius, 49, and Elizer Jubilin, 29, who appeared before Judge Amir Shah Amir Hassan, pleaded not guilty to committing grievous hurt to two men.

Lorry driver Ambrose was accused of assaulting Charles Edward Sitimin at 7.30pm on July 1, 2022, outside Pinang Hall, Kg Notorus.
Jobless Alizer allegedly attacked Dermin Dev with a stick at 4.35pm on Feb 10, this year in front of an entertainment outlet at Kepayan Point.

The prosecution, in applying for another mention date, proposed no bail to the accused.

Ambrose and Elizer, who were not represented, requested to be released on bail.
Amir fixed March 19 for mention and offered each accused bail of RM10,000 in two sureties.

The court also ordered the accused not to tamper with the prosecution’s witnesses.
