Kota Kinabalu: An 18-year-old Filipino was charged with causing hurt to a woman while robbing her.
Kalang Uluhati pleaded guilty to the charge against him before Sessions Court Judge Elsie Primus on Tuesday.
ADVERTISEMENT However, the case was adjourned to May 16 (next month) pending Bajau Pelauh interpreter as Kalang informed the court that he did not really understand Bahasa Melayu.
Kalang is accused of assaulting the 35-year-old woman while robbing her at 12.30pm on Feb 15 this year near the One Stop Premium Building in Jalan Hj Saman, here.
He allegedly made off several items belonging to the woman, namely a MyKad, two MyKids, two bank cards, a driving licence, a dental card and RM50.

The court ordered Kalang who was not represented, to be remanded further pending the date.
In another case, a 29-year-old man claimed trial to having 33.45gm of syabu.

Hermezan Saleh is accused of having the drug at 12.30pm on Sept 1, 2023 at the five-foot-way in Kota Belud General Market.
The court set May 16 for pre-trial case management and no bail was offered to Hermezan. Deputy Public Prosecutor Tham Pou Jin appeared for the prosecution while Hermezan was not represented.
