Kota Kinabalu: The Shitoryu Sabah Karate Association (Shitoryu Sabah) bagged two gold and six bronze medals at the Brunei Shitokai Open Karate Championship 2023 held at the Berakas Multipurpose Hall, Brunei, recently.
Shitoryu Sabah was represented by seven karatekas, led by Team Manager Gesiri Gambung and accompanied by Assistant Team Manager (chaperon) Hendry Lingguan and coaches McRoyce Donoval Dagul and Jesyntha Chong during the three-day tournament which started from December 1.

Gesiri, who is also the ShitoRyu Sabah President, said he did not set any target for the championship but was happy with the overall results.
