Kota Kinabalu: Sabah FC fans in the interior will get to see the Rhinos in action against Keningau FA in a friendly at the Keningau Sports Complex on April 23 at 7pm.
Team manager Rafie Robert, who is also Keningau FA president, said the match will be the first of three scheduled for the team in the State before the start of the MFL (Malaysian Football League) season.
ADVERTISEMENT “Keningau is the first destination of this tour and the match is to be held on April 23, at 7pm. This is a golden opportunity for fans and supporters of Sabah FC in the interior region to witness their favourite team in action.
“Keningau FA are very excited about the friendly match and I hope the players under the guidance of coach Well Apin will be able to produce their best performance.
“After Keningau, the tour will continue in Sandakan followed by Tawau.

ADVERTISEMENT He is also confident that Rhinos under Datuk Ong Kim Swee will do their best in the league this season and hopefully will be able to lift the trophy.
Meanwhile, Sabah FC will kick start their Super League 2024-25 campaign with a home match against Penang FC here at Likas Stadium on May 12.

They will next travel to Kota Bahru to take on Kelantan Darul Naim FC at Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium on May 17 in the second match before returning home to face Kuching City FC on May 25 in Likas.
Their next league match will only be played on July 13 due to FA Cup competitions, and it is up against reigning champions Johor Darul Ta’zim FC at Likas Stadium.
Sabah FC’s fifth match of the season is away to Negeri Sembilan FC on July 27 at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi, followed by another away tie at Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium with Kuala Lumpur FC on July 30.
Their remaining first round matches are Sri Pahang FC at Temerloh Municipal Council Stadium (August 9), Selangor FC at Likas Stadium (August 13), Terengganu FC at Likas Stadium (September 15), PDRM FC at Selayang Municipal Council Stadium (September 21), Kedah Darul Aman FC at Likas Stadium (September 28) and Perak FC at Perak Stadium (October 19).
