Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s strongest athletes captured three gold medals at the Malaysia’s Strongest Man and Woman Championship held at Farm Fresh, UPM (Universiti Putra Malaysia) in Serdang, Selangor on Sunday.
Joyce Heng successfully defended her women’s open title with a total of 63 points after completing her eight routines, well ahead of second placed Nur Aika Farina Harun from Johor who returned with only 45 points followed by Brunei’s Alinawati Aliakbar (44).

Another Sabahan lass Flavia Mannie Luntak accumulated 30 points from the four routines to top the strong fit women category beating Norisnawaty (29) from Johor by one point and in third place was Nur Aika Farina (28).
The other gold medal was delivered by Desmond Chan Min Pin in the strongman novice category.
