Kota Kinabalu: Charlie Fred Sagunting is hoping to clinch gold in the national paralympic sport badminton circuit.
The 33-year-old self-employed individual with dwarfism from Kampung Lokub, Kiulu, said the victory would earn him a berth to represent Malaysia at an international tournament in Thailand.

“I am playing in the people with disabilities for dwarfism category in the singles and doubles events, where I am expected to partner with a player from Sarawak,” said Charlie, who received financial support from the Sabah Little People Association (Prokesa).
The tournament, involving eight states, will be played at the Pusat Kecemerlangan Paralimpik, Kampung Pandan in Kuala Lumpur over the weekend.
