Camille halts Nicol at HongKong Open

Kuala Lumpur: Malaysian squash queen Datuk Nicol David's fine run at the Hong Kong Open squash championship has ended.The world number five lost to third-seeded Camille Serme of France 9-11, 11-8, 9-11 and 6-11 in the quarterfinals at the Hong Kong Squash Centre on Friday. The match lasted 45 minutes.

Nicol has won the Hong Kong Open for a record 10 times since 2006 and last won the tournament in 2015.

Camille will be meeting Egypt's Raneem El Welily, who defeated New Zealand's Joelle King in a gruelling five-set match, in a semifinal Saturday. – Bernama
