The District Schools Sports Council (MSSD) is a district-level sports management body in Malaysia operating under the District Education Office (PPD) and the State Education Department (JPN).
It is responsible for organising and conducting sports competitions aimed at identifying student talent. MSSD competitions serve as the grassroots platform before athletes advance to the state (MSSN) and national (MSSM) levels.
The annual MSSD badminton championship brings together top student-athletes from schools across the district.
The tournament features individual and team events for both boys and girls, with the aim of selecting representatives for the state-level competition and eventually the national level.
