Opportunity for Bingkor folks to own house: RMR briefing session June 5
Low-income people will be able to own a house of their own through the RMR programme.
KENINGAU: Rural folks in the interior will have the opportunity to own an affordable house as Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) is scheduled to hold a briefing on the Rumah Mesra Rakyat (RMR) programme in Bingkor on June 5.

The session will begin at 9.30am at the Kampung Baru Open House, Bingkor, with the main target being local residents who want to know the eligibility requirements, application process and benefits under the initiative.

The RMR programme focuses on the low-income group, especially those who do not yet own a house or live in substandard housing conditions, thus providing a more structured path towards comfortable and safe home ownership.

According to the organiser, Faridah Alexius Muri Gulim, the session will enable residents to obtain direct explanations from SPNB representatives, including the application procedure and required documents.

The idea of organising the programme came from Faridah, who is AMC Academy Managing Director, who saw the urgent need at the grassroots level, especially rural youths, to own their own homes.

She hopes the participation would not be limited to residents of Kampung Baru only, but also nearby villages.

The programme is also seen as part of the initial filling of the village-level Kaamatan 2026 celebration scheduled to take place on June 13, which is expected to be attended by State Assistant Minister of Finance and Bingkor Assemblyman, Mohd Ishak Ayub.

Interested members of the public can contact Rosmah Tuving (JKKK) at 011-2377 6678 or Saidin Egih (Kampung Head) at 011-5574 4364 for more information.

As a government-linked company, SPNB continues to play a vital role in providing affordable housing, especially in rural areas like Bingkor — where a house is not just a physical structure, but the foundation of life stability, family dignity and the future of generations.

Owning a home is a dream that has become a reality for the people here and in the quiet of the countryside, a small house built today can become a bastion of hope — a place where dreams are protected, and the future begins to take root.
