Kuala Lumpur: The Haval H6 Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) has been gaining acceptance in Malaysia, emerging as the second best-selling hybrid in the country driven by strong and sustained consumer confidence in the model.

Reaching 6,000 deliveries since its launch in October 2024, the Haval H6 HEV reflects growing confidence among Malaysian consumers in self-charging hybrid technology.

GWM Malaysia chief operating officer Roslan Abdullah said there is a growing shift towards practical electrification, solutions that deliver fuel efficiency and environmental benefits without adding complexity to daily life.

“We understand that for many Malaysians, the appeal lies in enjoying hybrid advantages without changing driving habits, whether it is their daily commute or a long balik kampung journey.

“As the 2025 second best‑selling hybrid in Malaysia, this milestone reinforces that self‑charging hybrids are not only resonating strongly in our market, but are also shaping the way Malaysians adopt electrification in a practical, trusted manner,” he told Bernama.

He said as more HEV and plug-in HEV (PHEV) models enter the market, the H6 HEV stands out because it delivers what Malaysians value most, reliability, efficiency and practicality that fits seamlessly into Malaysian daily life.

It offers the convenience of a self-charging hybrid system with no plugs or charging schedules, while delivering a range of up to 1,000 kilometres to support both daily commuting and long-distance travel.

Building on this, its Asean record-certified range of up to 1,242 km on a single tank positions it among the longest-range hybrids in its class, reinforcing its practicality for both everyday use and extended journeys.

The RM139,800 model also gives peace of mind, backed by a 10-year engine and HEV battery warranty.

“Our 10‑year warranty for the engine and HEV battery, 8‑year HEV system warranty, and five years of free service are designed to give buyers long‑term confidence in both performance and durability.

“By offering one of the strongest warranty packages in the segment, we position the HAVAL H6 HEV as a truly worry‑free ownership proposition, a vehicle that families can trust for the long haul,” he said.

Roslan said the H6 HEV is designed to be a complete family SUV that integrates safety, comfort and intelligence, making it a trusted choice for Malaysian households.

“From comprehensive safety systems to a refined cabin experience and intuitive technologies, the HAVAL H6 HEV delivers a balanced package that meets the expectations of today’s Malaysian drivers, practical, safe, and technologically advanced,” he said.

He added that the HAVAL H6 HEV as a next-gen family SUV, not just a hybrid, where hybrid efficiency complements, rather than replaces with family-focused priorities.

“Ultimately, it’s about removing uncertainty and ensuring Malaysians feel secure in their decision to adopt hybrid technology. By offering one of the strongest warranty packages in the segment, we position the HAVAL H6 HEV as a truly worry‑free ownership proposition, a vehicle that families can trust for the long haul,” he said.
