Tuaran: Hilton on Thursday announced the opening of Hilton Garden Inn Kota Kinabalu Tuaran, marking the brand’s debut in Tuaran and strengthening Hilton’s presence in East Malaysia. 

Set along a serene coastline near the region’s iconic mangrove wetlands, the hotel brings Hilton Garden Inn’s signature hospitality to Sabah, offering travellers a modern stay with easy access to the State’s natural wonders.

The hotel joins Hilton’s growing presence in East Malaysia, including Hilton Kota Kinabalu and Hilton Kuching, reinforcing the company’s commitment to offering a brand for every stay occasion across the region.

Positioned along Tuaran’s serene beachfront, the hotel offers a tranquil coastal retreat about 30 minutes from Kota Kinabalu and just over an hour from Kota Kinabalu International Airport. 

The hotel has 167 guestrooms, an outdoor swimming pool with a children’s wet playground, a 24-hour fitness centre and self-operated guest laundry facilities, alongside complimentary Wi-Fi and parking for guests.  

There’s all-day dining and bar. The open-air upper deck bar provides a scenic vantage point for Sabah’s famed beachfront sunsets. 

For corporate gatherings and social events, the hotel features a 164-square-meter multi-purpose hall. Accommodating up to 80 guests, the space is ideal for training sessions, team-building retreats and intimate social events, benefiting from the hotel’s quiet, inspiring seaside environment.
