QUESTION: What has this journey taught you about truth and personal responsibility in shaping how stories are told?

Opal answered:

“Thank you so much for the question.

“Being here is the greatest opportunity I could ever have in life. One thing I have learned from being here in Hyderabad, at Miss World, is the responsibility we all carry in how truth is perceived.

“I think one important thing we can do here – myself, all the girls, and everyone in this hall – is to be the kind of person others in our lives can look up to.

“Because I have always believed that no matter who you are, no matter how old you are, and no matter what title you hold in life, there is always someone beside you who looks up to you. Whether it is a child, an adult, or even your own parents, someone is watching and learning from the way you live.

“And the best way to lead people is to lead with gracefulness and with your actions. That is the best thing we can do for the people around us and for our world.

“Thank you very much.”

Winning Miss World title ‘extremely difficult’

WINNING the Miss World title is said to be extremely difficult and exceptionally challenging.

For example, the Miss World 2025 pageant attracted 108 contestants. That means each contestant begins with less than a one percent chance of winning the crown.

To emerge victorious, one must succeed at every stage of the competition, progressing through the Fast Track Challenge events, which include Beauty With a Purpose, Talent, Head-to-Head Challenge, Top Model, Sports Challenge, and Multimedia Challenge, among others, in order to advance directly into the Top 40 quarter-finals.

From there, the path narrows further: securing a place again in the Top 20, then the Top 8, then the Top 4 – and finally becoming the one contestant who outshines the other three finalists in the most crucial round of all: the Final Question-and-Answer Head-to-Head Challenge, where the ability to think on one’s feet is tested and the best answer wins.

How Opal Suchata Chuangsri Beat Them All Under High Pressure

It is nerve-racking.

It is tension-packed.

Finalists must be able to articulate thoughtful and authentic responses rapidly to unpredictable questions about their Beauty With a Purpose projects, social issues, and personal experiences – demonstrating intelligence, intellect, and grace under immense pressure.

Yet that is precisely how Opal Suchata Chuangsri, 21, of Thailand, clinched the Miss World 2025 title. She delivered a compelling answer with grace, composure, and natural poise, surpassing Aurelie Joachim of the Caribbean-North America region, Maja Klajda of Poland representing Europe, and Hasset Dereje Admassu of Africa – all three of whom appeared affected by the tension of that decisive moment.
