RANAU: Over 500 residents in Kampung Togop Darat heaved a sigh of relief after Etiqa launched the Etiqa Clean Water Project in collaboration with Islamic Aid Malaysia (IAM) recently.

The project, which is part of Etiqa’s corporate social responsibility programme, aims to help ease the burden of local residents to obtain a continuous supply of treated clean water throughout the year.

The project, which started in December 2023, is fully funded by Etiqa and implemented in collaboration with IAM.

For two decades, the residents of Kampung Togop Darat obtained their water supply from the hills through nearby streams using a gravity water system they developed themselves.
