PENAMPANG: The Badtitude Badminton Club (BBC) is making the initiative to address blood shortages by having blood donation drive, while partnering with Ford, Penampang branch, also collaborated with QE Hospital, represented by Lorna Abie.
It would be held on April 14 (Sunday) at Rightpower Ford building in Penampang.
ADVERTISEMENT “Our blood bank is always facing insufficient of blood, so we took the initiative to organize the event hoping to achieve our target and help alleviate blood shortage,” said spokesperson David Liew.
“We also would like to thank our sponsors such as Onaki, F&N, Omma Oven, Dotts, Michu and PBA for contributing towards the blood campaign,” said David.

In KENINGAU, 14 pints of blood were collected through the Blood Donation Programme at the Sidang Injil Borneo (SIB) Church, on Saturday.
ADVERTISEMENT The Church Council Chairman Ria Alisther Sinteh said it aimed to stock up the blood bank in Keningau held every year in conjunction with the month of Ramadan.
It had been going on before the Covid-19 pandemic and resumed this effort since last year, he said.

The organiser Keningau District Hospital’s Blood Transfusion Medical Unit thanked the church for its cooperation.
A blood donation programme was also held at Bataras Supermarket the same day.
