SEMPORNA: More NGOs, corporate companies and volunteers will work together to contribute in the breaking-of-fast charity programme tour across Sabah.
Community Leader Unit (UPPM) Director, Datuk Awang Kadin Tang, said it is an opportunity to help disadvantaged community groups.

He said they would work with several government agencies to identify the amount of aid needed including information on the target groups involved.
“This step is to simplify the aid distribution process so that more target groups can be helped and treated better.
“Usually every year in the month of Ramadan, many volunteers, NGOs and corporates step up to donate.
“We welcome that and encourage more people to come forward to help those in need,” he said at the programme, here, recently.

Awang Kadin also hopes to get more cooperation from the business community in making the program a success.
“We may organise a joint gotong-royong programme to prepare food for breaking the fast with the villagers as an addition to this tour,” he explained.

“It is also to help to them lighten burdens ahead of Eid,” said Dexter.
At the event, several recipients of the disabled received help, including an elderly person aged 102 years, Tahul Sayadi.
