Presenting the ESMOD Kuala Lumpur Graduation Fashion Show 2024 – “ASTERIA” | Daily Express Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur: Be prepared for an evening of stars as the ESMOD Kuala Lumpur Graduation Fashion Show returns, featuring the newest batch of soon-to-be graduates poised to conquer the runway with their fashion masterpieces.

Going all out, the fashion show that is happening on April 1st, 2024 at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre, will witness the exquisite collections of 11 up-and-coming fashion designers.

This time around, the stage will see the students of batch FD2103 exhibiting incredible designs surrounding the theme of “Asteria” – the Titan goddess of the night sky and falling stars. Asteria’s myth with its celestial themes finds a unique resonance among these aspiring designers who are akin to stars shining brightly in their individual capacities. They are: Zyrith Nur Aina binti Zainudin, Engku Nur Raihan, Priyatharsini A/P M Rajasurian, Bong Hui En, Catherine Hau Chin Yee, Arissrar Sangkhaney A/P Bun Liang, Peggy Yong, Hosini A/P Suntharajan, Idaini Nurisha binti Ikmal Hisham, Chan Xi Yu and Fong Pei Xien. When their talents converge, their collective brilliance forms a constellation of innovation and style that graces the fashion night sky.

During the Jury Week, these aspiring designers painstakingly prepared their showcase booth to impress the jury panel consisting of renowned names in the fashion design industry – Khoon Hooi (Creative Director of Khoon Hooi Couture), Bon Zainal (Founder of Bon-D), Jonathan Cheng (Founder of UnitedWood), Justin Yap (Founder of Justin Yap Atelier), and Paul Marchand (ESMOD Paris’ Head of Fashion Design).

This show is a celebration of their hard work, creativity and tireless efforts for the past three years. The fashion show will be followed by the award presentation ceremony – conferring the “Best Fashion Design Award”, “Best Pattern Making Award” and the “Best Sustainable Fashion Award” to the deserving winners. This time, a special guest will be joining the show. Coming all the way from France on a visit to ESMOD Kuala Lumpur, Véronique Beaumont, the COO of ESMOD Paris, will be attending the show and presenting the awards to the winners.

Upon graduation, these young designers will go out to take the fashion world by storm and this fashion show serves as a prelude to their talents and creativity. The past ESMOD KL graduation fashion shows have been a stunning success and we aim to continue providing a platform for the students to proudly exhibit their hard work and knowledge earned over the years. The next step in their journey to success is to undergo an internship under some of the biggest names in the fashion industry to further enhance their skills.
