Power for two water villages: In Sandakan by October

SANDAKAN: Residents in Kg Bugaya and Kg Sundang Laut in Batu Sapi will have access to proper power supply by October.
This is an endeavour by Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) to broaden the implementation of the Independent Power Distributor (IDP) project to address the issue of illegal wire connections in the two water villages.
SESB Chief Executive Officer Mohd Yaakob Jaafar said that the prepaid meter concept is the same as the one adopted in Kg Forest, Batu 1.5 last year.
He said this when met at SESB’s Seikhlas Budi Sesuci Ramadan programme held at the Wasatiyyah Mosque, in Batu Sapi, Friday.
