Banks urged to provide more services in Sipitang

SIPITANG: Residents here wants financial institutions to provide more services for the their convenience

A local, Eric, said many had to stand in long lines when dealing at the district’s only two banks  -Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) and Maybank.

Eric also claimed that such situation burdens residents who want to use the ATMs or cash deposit machines.

He said immediate action needs to be taken, considering the district is a stopover area for many outside visitors.

“This area has developed - more shops and population is also increasing, especially with more factories in the Sogip area.

“It’s about time more banks be added in the district.”

Eric also suggested that the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF), Socso and Tabung Haji open branches in the district.

“With this, people no longer need to go to Beaufort township  to deal with these agencies,” he said.
