Fishermen feel safe at sea now - In conjunction with Police Day

Kota Kinabalu: Police have made it more comfortable to earn a living as well as in harmony.

Wiramuda Movement of Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star) said it is grateful to all members of the PDRM for their services and contributions in maintaining the security and peace of the country.

Its head, Kong Soon Choi said that PDRM’s 217-year age has made the organisation achieve many successes not only from the aspect of controlling national security, but also the prosperity of the people.

“As a citizen of this country, I acknowledge that the PDRM Team with the slogan ‘Police And Community Are Not Separated’ have shown the best devotional service for the country and the people as a whole.

“This makes the people feel safe doing their daily routines, especially earning a living in a safe and conducive way where everyone who works hard has the opportunity to prosper,” he said in a statement.

Kong, who is also the Chairman of the Sabah Fisheries and Fishermen’s Development Corporation (Ko-Nelayan), explained that fishermen also always feel safe to earn a living around the country’s waters with the assignment of the Marine Police Force.

He said, the efficiency of PDRM officers and members in carrying out their duties of maintaining security also enables the organisation under his supervision to increase income to drive the Sabah Government’s economy while also boosting the people’s development agenda.

“Therefore, it is appropriate to give appreciation to the entire ranks of PDRM officers and members because with their excellent service, the aspect of economic development also increases and it is easy for investors to establish a foothold in our country, especially the state of Sabah,” he said.

The commemoration of the 217th National Police Day 2024 was attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Hashim Hall, Pulapol, Kuala Lumpur.
