PAPAR: Police are still conducting investigations into the death of the daughter of Lahad Datu district police chief ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail.
Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh Dikun said further investigations also involved the district police chief himself.

“An investigation is being conducted on him because he is the one who owns the gun,” he said when met by reporters after attending the Aidilfitri celebration of the Papar parliamentary constituency and Kawang state constituency here today.
Jauteh said the investigation has also not yet been able to draw any conclusions as to whether the case is related to negligence or otherwise.
“That’s something we haven’t been able to make a decision on.
We haven’t made a final decision yet until there is a full report on the results of the investigation,” he said.

He said police have not yet decided whether the district police chief will be suspended because the investigation is still ongoing.

Tabanak, Lahad Datu on April 16, was due to a gunshot to the right chest.
Sabah deputy police commissioner DCP Datuk Shahurinain Jais said the autopsy conducted at Lahad Datu Hospital found that there was only one gunshot wound on the victim’s body.
