Kota Kinabalu: A 29-year-old jobless claimed trial to two counts of causing grievous hurt to his neighbours.
Al Jimdam Alning made the plea before Sessions Court Judge Noor Hafizah Mohd Salim after the charges were read to him on Tuesday.

On the first count, Al Jimdam is accused of causing grievous hurt to Elimir Madjuri with a machete at 2pm on Oct 29, 2022 at a house in Jalan Samur Sindumin, Sipitang.
On the second count, he allegedly committed the offence against Jarnah Najul with the same weapon at the same place and time.
He was charged under Section 326 of the Penal Code which carries a jail term of up to 20 years, and liable to a fine or whipping, on conviction.
The court set Sept 18 this year for pre-trial case management and Oct 16 and 17.

Al Jimdam was ordered to be remanded further pending the date.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Mohammad Azizi Hamil appeared for the prosecution while Al Jimdam was not represented.
