Mutiara GRS vows to continue charity outreach

Kota Kinabalu: The Pertubuhan Muafakat Titipan Amal Isteri Wakil Rakyat of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (Mutiara GRS) is dedicated to continuing its charity and community-based initiatives.

“These programmes significantly benefited the people, particularly in areas related to social welfare, economic empowerment, and health improvement,” said Datuk Juliah Salag, wife of the Chief Minister and Chairperson of Mutiara GRS.

She expressed pride at the overall success of Mutiara GRS’ initiatives over the last two years, citing excellent cooperation among Mutiara GRS members.

“I believe we can do better if we continue to work together to accomplish everything we have planned. I hope this collaboration continues to achieve the goal of establishing Mutiara GRS.

“As in past years, Mutiara GRS works closely with many government departments and agencies, as well as non-governmental organisations, to conduct a variety of programmes that benefit the people, particularly women.

“Therefore, I hope that joint ventures with organisations or associations are enhanced to further expand the reach of the Mutiara GRS’ goals,” she said when officiating Mutiara GRS’ Third Annual General Meeting 2023 at the Mutiara GRS House, recently.

She also urged Mutiara GRS members to expand grassroots activities and support to help those in need.

“Mutiara GRS members can gain insight into the lives of the people in the village, including their challenges, by going down to the field. This is crucial as the GRS State Government holds elections next year.

“Therefore, we must increase our actions to supplement our husband’s efforts to assist individuals in their different places. Use our network of supporters to help as many people in need as possible,” she said.

She also asked Mutiara GRS members to develop their knowledge and abilities, particularly in information technology.

“As women, mothers or housewives, it is not an obstacle for us to continue learning, to get out of our comfort zone to develop our minds and improve ourselves,” she said.
