KENNGAU: The Keningau Health Office issued four notices under the Food Hygiene Regulations 2009 to four traders at Ramadan bazaars in town.
Its officer Dr Valentine Japulee Gantul said the notices were issued to the traders for not complying with hygiene regulations such as uncovered food, not wearing an apron and others related to hygiene.

He hoped Ramadan bazaar traders would prioritise food and personal hygiene that have been set by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
“We hope no more such notices will be issued throughout this Ramadan,” he told the media after inspecting Ramadan bazaars around the town area.
“The purposes of monitoring is not to give notices but to ensure that the food on sale at Ramadan bazaars are clean and in good condition.
“Our main goal is to protect and ensure safety of all buyers or visitors,” he said.
