Six thoroughbreds arrive from Singapore

Kota Kinabalu: It was quite a journey for these six magnificent thoroughbreds, before arriving in Kota Kinabalu on March 13.
These majestic gallopers are proudly named Kinabalu Star, Lord Justice, Summer Glitter, Nineteen Star, Easylights and Blue Chip.

Travelling from Singapore Turf Club via Kuala Lumpur and then to the Land Below the Wind, they will be quarantined, properly rested and cared at Tambalang, before embarking on their racing careers.
Indeed, the new “kids” are in town and they mean business, so watch out the current superstar establishment Coronation II, One Kinabalu, Lucky Magic, Smart Lad, Brilliant One, Blarney Blink and co.
Meanwhile, Tambalang racing continues tomorrow (Sunday) with Race 4 (Class C) the headline act.
King Zackry is favourite as the 1100m distance is suited for him but can be challenged by classy Magic Light.

North Star must jump well out of the gates to be in the game. First September can secure a place position.
On the same day in Kranji, Singapore, Royal Sabah Turf Club’s (RSTC) Kinabalu Light (Race 7) aims for another win following his recent victorious run on February 11.

Jockey Amirul is familiar with Kinabalu Light and can bring out his best. Khao Manee, Tigarous and Pacific Spirit can challenge.
Racing fans can catch this Saturday (Hong Kong and Selangor races) and Sunday “live” racing action (Tambalang, Singapore and Selangor races) at RSTC’s Tambalang Racecourse, and Off-Course centres in Keningau and Tanjung Aru.
