Travel firm’s pygmy elephant project

Kota Kinabalu: Intrepid Travel raised more than AUD$15.5 million (RM47.12 million) for communities around the world since 2002 to support local projects.

In Malaysia, it works with the Responsible Elephant Conservation Trust (RESpect) to manage human-elephant conflicts.

This is carried out through managing large-scale habitats in Kinabatangan to protect the elephants.

“With the ongoing human-elephant conflicts we face in Sabah, RESpect aspires to be an agent of change.
