Kota Kinabalu: A total of 31 teams took part in the 3rd Street Soccer 3 on 3 Challenge held in conjunction with the City Day celebration at the City Hall car park on Saturday.

Mayor Datuk Seri Sabin Samitah, who graced the opening ceremony, praised the organisers for the programme and said the event is very beneficial to the community especially the youth in the city.

“We congratulate the organisers for successfully organising this programme which is very well received and beneficial.

“It allows the youth to fill their free time with healthy activities, and I personally very much support this programme and hope it will continue to expand and help to unearth new talents in the future,” he said.

The men’s title was won by YS Family and in second place was TPW FT with Minum Dsarah and Par Supir in joint third while Old KK clinched the women’s title followed by JK FC and in joint third place was N’Force FC and Old KK Vemos.

The prizes were presented by DBKK director general Junainah Abbie.
