Raphael House emerge overall champions

Kota Kinabalu: Raphael House pipped Davies House by a whisker with 8 golds, 7 silvers and 5 bronze medals to clinch the Overall Champion Trophy as Davies trailed behind by 2 silver and 2 bronze medals less, at the two-day 65th SM La Salle Annual Sports Day which ended Tuesday.
Crowther House came third with 5 golds, 7 silvers and 3 bronzes. In fourth place was Brendan House with 3 golds, 4 silvers and 5 bronzes.

Charles House, named after the late Principal, Datuk Brother Charles O’Leary, came in 5th with 1 gold, 2 silvers and 7 bronzes.
Raphael House is named after pioneer Brother Raphael Egan who founded La Salle School in Tanjung Aru in 1958.
Alumni La Salle and Sacred Heart donated the overall trophy which was presented to principal Vijaya Kumar last week by President Datuk Ram Singh.
Hardiansyah of Raphael House was voted Best Athlete in Boys A category by winning 3 golds in the 400m, 800m and 4x400m relay while Muhammad Nurmansyah of Davies House won the Best Athlete title in the Boys B category.

In the Cross Country race, Crowther House came top, followed by Brendan House while Charles House came third.
In Sukan Tara, Brendan House were champions, followed by Charles House and Davies House respectively.
