Kota Kinabalu: Kota Kinabalu archers are urged to do their best at this year’s Sabah Games (Saga) scheduled to start this Saturday at the Ranau Sports Complex.

Kota Kinabalu District Archery Association KKDAA) president Datuk Ram Singh made the call at the handing over of the flag and presentation of uniforms ceremony on Sunday.

He said he was happy with the preparation of the athletes by the team of officials and coaches and hoped the athletes will build on the momentum following their impressive outing at the recent President Cup competition.

“Based on the excellent performance of our archers with 11 gold, one silver and three bronze medals in the open category at the recently concluded President Cup 2023 organised by Sabah Archery Association, I hope our boys and girls will maintain their momentum and do their best to contribute more gold medals to keep Kota Kinabalu District at the top again,” he said.

At the previous games held in Keningau, Kota Kinabalu archers won three golds, two silvers and one bronze.
