Sandakan historical record centre opens

SANDAKAN: The State Archives Records Centre here is now open on the 7th floor of the Secretariat Building, Mile 7.
The pre-launch ceremony of the record centre on Thursday was officiated by Deputy State Treasurer, Awang Herman Awang Tahir, who represented State Treasurer, Datuk Mary Angela Sipaun.
Also present were the Director of the State Archives Department, Shirley Sion, Deputy President of the Sandakan Municipal Council (MPS), Wilson Thomas and representatives of government departments and agencies.
Awang Herman said the opening of the Sandakan Record Centre is seen as a significant undertaking, especially in the East Coast area.
