Taiwan universities visits Institut Sinaran

Delegates from Taiwan Universities & Colleges visited Institut Sinaran in their collaborative networking trip.
Kota Kinabalu: Taiwan Alumni Association Sabah recently organised a visit to Institut Sinaran for Five Institutions of Higher Learning from Taiwan comprising of Minghsin University of Science and Technology, Tainan University of Technology, Dayeh University, Lee-Ming Institute of Technology and Ching Kuo Institute of Management and Health.Their Faculty & Department Heads have indicated possible collaborations with Institut Sinaran providing Sabah Students access to Taiwan’s expertise and developing new joint programmes relevant for Sabah industrial development and job market.

Taiwan Alumni Association President Pang Thou Chong said in his briefing that retaining talent in Sabah is crucial for the State’s economic development, thus development of IR 4.0 technology courses by local Institutions will provide the human resource need for Foreign Direct Investors setting up manufacturing operations in the State.
A key area of exploration will be IR4.0 Technology based programmes that will equip Sabah Youth to contribute to industrial development in line with the State’s rich biodiversity, Sepanggar Port Transhipment Hub Development, Renewable & Sustainable Energy, multi-disciplinary Engineering Technology Support Services for Manufacturing, Sustainable Energy and modern Agricultural sectors arising from Foreign Direct Investment and private investment.
