Sandakan best in table tennis at MSSS Sporting meet

Kota Kinabalu: Three Sabah Schools Sports Council (MSSS) sporting events came to a close at the KK High School, Saturday.In table tennis, Sandakan came top overall after winning the under 18 boys and girls titles as well as the girls under 12 title. Second place went to West Zone who took the boys under 12 title and came second in both the boys and girls in the under 18 category while Southeast captured the third spot by finishing second in the boys under 12, third in the under 12 girls, under 18 boys and girls.

The gymnastic overall title went to West Zone with 90 gold, 64 silver and 39 bronze medals. Sandakan in second place with 75 gold, 60 silver and 12 bronze medals while Interior in third with five gold, 20 silver and 30 bronze medals.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

Swimming events were based on individual schools and Sekolah Sukan Malaysia Sabah (SSMS) ruled supreme with 33 gold, 20 silver and 18 bronze medals followed by SM Tshung Tsin in second place with 12 gold, three silver and three bronze medals with SJKC Chung Hwa Kota Kinabalu in third place with 10 gold, 10 silver and two bronze medals.The event was officiated by Sabah Education Department head of human development sector Ir Datu Jamigul Hj Datu Salin. - GL Oh
