Kota Kinabalu: Tenom-born doodle artist Kendrick Ng, better known as Kendylife, opened his first major exhibition in Sabah, recently, marking two decades of work in illustration and visual storytelling.

Kendylife, a graduate of Kian Kok Middle School, has built his profile across Peninsular Malaysia and internationally, with appearances and collaborations in Singapore, the Philippines, Australia, and the United Kingdom. The Kota Kinabalu exhibition is his first on home soil.
“To finally have my first major exhibition in Sabah, surrounded by a community that understands and supports creative growth, is something I’m truly thankful for,” he said.
The exhibition brings together works spanning his 20-year career, from early sketches and self-published zines to later collaborative and narrative-driven pieces.
Beyond serving as a retrospective, it is intended to foster collaboration among local creatives, promote art education, and encourage entrepreneurship within Sabah’s creative community.
