KENINGAU: Six students from Keningau Vocational College (KVC) have published their English articles in a regional bilingual magazine produced by an educational institute in Indonesia.
The articles appeared in the March 2026 edition of E-Magz, a publication by STIKIP PGRI Pacitan, which was released on March 4. The edition focuses on raising awareness about waste materials and environmental responsibility.

Five of the six students also received certificates from the organisers after their works were recognised as among the best articles in the publication.
Cosmetology student Annys Anastasia Francis George reviewed an innovative product she developed with her classmates — a cosmetic facial mask made from jackfruit rags that are commonly discarded as waste.
Electrical technology student Nadiirah Naquyyah wrote about how modern lifestyles, driven by constant technological upgrades, contribute to the growing problem of electronic waste.
Azzulfa Haryani from the early childhood education programme discussed how uncontrolled consumerism has contributed to increasing waste production.

Construction technology student Avyda Tang Pei Chin and cosmetology student Rosselina Senora Ungkak highlighted practices that can be implemented at community, institutional and individual levels to help reduce waste.
Automotive technology student Noel Isaac Jeremy proposed ways bulky waste, such as furniture and construction materials, could be repurposed into creative art materials with practical functions.
KVC director Lumang anak Lang expressed support for the students’ achievements, noting that their articles reflected ideas and arguments shaped by their participation in innovation competitions and social projects.
